Over the next few years, TRANSGLOBE produced the following series:
"LA RUTA DE LOS EXPLORADORES" ("THE ROUTE OF THE EXPLORERS"). After travelling around the perimeter of Africa, visiting twenty-five countries, thirteen half-hour long episodes were produced, exploring the history, anthropology and wildlife of the African continent. This series was shown on Television Española in October 1995, and achieved viewing figures of 2.3 million.
"LA RUTA ALTERNATIVA" ("THE ALTERNATIVE ROUTE") - This series of thirteen hour-long episodes explored the most outstanding aspects of the history, wildlife, anthropology and archaeology of Spain. It proved a resounding success when broadcast of Televisión Española.
"LA RUTA DE SAMARKANDA" ("THE ROUTE OF SAMARKAND") - In order to produce this series of thirteen half-hour long episodes, an expedition set off from Madrid and, over fifteen months, travelled across the entire continent of Asia. Art, culture, ethnography and nature comprise the content of this series, which achieved figures of 3.5 million when shown on channel two of Spanish State Television, with an average of 2.5 million viewers and an audience share of 15.6%. It was this TV channel´s most popular programme in the 1999 - 2000 season, and as a result was awarded first prize by the consultancy GECA.

In the last years, Transglobe has experienced tremendous growth in terms of production volume, and the number of employees has tripled. New directors and scriptwriters of acknowledged experience have begun to work on the production company´s different documentary series project. The documentation and scientific assessment department has also benefited from the incorporation of new consultants working in different fields such as: Biology, Anthropology, Archaeology, Sociology, Science, History, etc.
Transglobe has gone from strength to strength, and has now established itself as the leading Spanish production company specialised in documentaries, having produced more than 190 productions, filmed in more than 130 countries. Among its regular co-producers, we would particularly mention: TVE, Canal+, Vía Digital, Impala, Plural Entertainment, Wanda Films, El Deseo, France 5, etc.
On an almost permanent basis, Transglobe has three or four film crews working outside Spain, in different countries on all five continents, for the various documentary series it produces.
Six years ago, Transglobe also set up its own distribution department. Its work has been of vital importance in publicising the products of Transglobe in the major international markets. It has spearhead access to foreign markets. Thanks to its work, it has been possible for Spanish documentaries to reach certain markets for the first time.
Transglobe is a constant presence in the major markets, such as: MIPCOM, NATPE, MIPDOC, MIPTV, ASIA TV FORUM, etc. At present, Transglobe´s documentaries are being shown on television channels such as: National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Rai Uno, France 5, Canal + International, Planete, Voyage, TV Ontario, Bayerischer Rundfunk, RUV, EBS, Tele +, NHK; ZDF, etc.
