Prior to the powerful Inca empire, so many and such astonishing remains of which were left behind in Peru, ancestral cultures developed their art, their science and their customs only to be relegated to obscurity, gobbled up by the passage of centuries and the splendour of the peoples who succeeded them. And yet, in some remote areas of Peru, the secrets of some of the most enigmatic and interesting pre-Incan cultures have begun to be revealed thanks to the work and enthusiasm of adventurous archaeologists.
The remains of these cultures will reveal the lost world of the ancestors of the powerful Incas. In this journey through history we will travel to intriguing places such as the gigantic Nazca lines – drawings made with stones which can only be seen from great heights due to their size. We will see the petroglyphs of Ica which still cause even the most prestigious archaeologists to lose sleep, and we will see important excavations such as the Sipan Señor.
The journey through these historical tombs will bring us into the world of guaqueros, grave robbers, who will in turn lead us to the village of Sala, the cradle of warlocks, the place where the powerful witch doctors operate using guaces, small idols extracted from the archaeological tombs and to which countless powers are attributed.
