Cuba, the Pearl of the Caribbean, as it was also known, is still very much in the news. And so we decided to take a look at its history, its people and its landscape, and through them explore this island of conquistadors and natural paradises, of pirates and corsairs, masters and slaves.
In this way we can better understand what makes Cuba different, enjoy and learn from that shared memory stretching back 400 years.
Through this documentary series we will approach the history of Cuba its people and its wildlife, in an attempt to appreciate the different aspects that make up the essence of a country which demands to be better understood.
