The aim of SOUL TRAVELLER is to show the extraordinary diversity of life on Earth, the result of millions of years of evolution, and to do so in a different, more relaxed tone, which, though still remaining educational, offers viewers a new way of discovering the incredible heritage accumulated over many centuries of life on our Planet. Through the thirty-three , 23-minute episodes that comprise the series, we recover the language of fable to explain, with irony and humour, the complex, often contradictory relationship between Man and Nature in the home we all share, the Earth. We want to avoid being over-dramatic. Rather, we want to contribute to optimism, aware that we are still in time to save our Planet, so we can continue to marvel at the sight of whales, as we follow the tracks of a tenebrous panther, witness the pilgrimage of millions of Hindus to bathe in the sacred waters of the river Ganges, the stampeding of a herd of gnus or the tenderness of copulating midwife toads. This is not another rage against the destruction of the Planet. It is not our intention to castigate viewers about the extinction and mistreatment of animals. Just the opposite – we want to highlight the sheer pleasure we gain from all this life that jumps, flies, crawls, runs and climbs around us. Without forgetting that we too run, swim, crawl…and all of us reproduce and, finally, die. Let us learn to enjoy ourselves, getting to know Nature and learning how to conserve it. We human beings are like that –we most appreciate the things that give us greatest pleasure. Each one of the 13 episodes of TRAVELLER SOUL has a common structure, taking viewers on a journey to seven different places around the Planet. Seven documentaries, each one lasting three minutes, linked by the voice of an indefatigable traveller, a globetrotter whose ironic vision combines objective information with personal reflections. The pace is fast, with editing and music to match. To travel from one place to another, we will use 3D animation techniques that will enable us to fly over the globe. The scripts are written in such a way that these seven thematic blocks are interrelated, thus guaranteeing the continuity of each programme. To achieve this, our team of scriptwriters is composed of professionals with a great deal of experience, some in the field of documentary and others in that of fiction.
