In the early morning of the 13th February 2005, Madrid was attentive to a enormous fire, that finished with the Windsor building, one of the most emblematic towers of Madrid, located in the financial centre. In few hours, the fire destroyed 3 decades of the Madrid history. Revising the history of the Windsor Tower, we can make a route through the last 30 years of Madrid: it’s importance as a modernity symbol and the economic progress, the establishment of a financial centre in the town, as the most important cities of the world and the mythical Windsor Room, that knew the most important artists. This documentary will try to travel through the recent history of Madrid and of the Windsor Tower, mixing 3 narrative threads. On the one hand, we will focus on the history of the building, from its design to the fire. So, we will have the testimonies of its architect, its owners and expert architects who will explain us the town-planning changes in Madrid. On the other hand, we will talk about the night of the events and the investigation of the causes of the disaster. So, we will obtain the opinion of political representatives and experts as the Fireman Chief, members of the Scientific Police, who will explain us how they find the evidences and traces among the burned remains of the building. Finally, with the help of the owners of the building and famous celebrities, we will revise the history of Madrid and Spain of the last 30 years, focusing in the events that were visible from the Windsor Tower: the great demonstrations, the visit of the Pope, the final of the World Cup Football 1982, the great concert of U2… Each interview will contribute with the memories about politic, journalism, music or sport, that will explain us the importance of each event
